What is Daliresp? 

An oral drug in tablet form that decreases the risk of worsening of symptoms of COPD in patients having severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) with bronchitis and a history of exacerbations.  

Daliresp is classified as a Selective Phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor. Daliresp is also used together with bronchodilators to treat COPD symptoms. Daliresp generic Roflumilast is available. 

Daliresp 500 mcg  

This is one of the available doses for daliresp and this is the recommended dose. This is not the usual starting dose, but if your physician started your treatment with this, then you’ll have to take this tablet once a day with or without meals as your maintaining dose.  

The other dose is a 250mcg tablet. This is just a starting dose and not a therapeutic or effective dose. This should be taken once per day for only 4 weeks and not more than this period, then your dose will be increased to 500 mcg to achieve the full effectiveness of Daliresp.
