Anoro Ellipta Uses 

This medication is used to prevent and or control symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing. That’s usually caused by ongoing lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. This inhaler contains two drugs called umeclidinium and vilanterol. Both drugs work by relaxing the muscles around your airways which helps you breathe easier. 

How to use Anoro Ellipta 

Use the Anoro Ellipta inhaler orally once a day. Make sure not to open the cover of the inhaler until it has to be used. If you open the cover without inhaling, you will lose the dose. To avoid this, do not close the cover until you have already inhaled it. Use Anoro Ellipta regularly to get the best result. Don’t use this more than once a day.


Anoro Ellipta doses will depend on the response to treatment and existing medical conditions. Do not use this medication more than what is prescribed by your doctor, or stop using it without telling your doctor first. Keep in mind that your condition will not get any better if you take this medication more frequently. Follow your doctor’s instructions on dosing Anoro Ellipta carefully. 

Anoro Ellipta Side Effects 

Anoro Ellipta may increase your blood pressure. Make sure to monitor your blood pressure regularly. Anoro Ellipta can also cause trouble breathing and severe wheezing right after you have used it. However, this occurrence only happens rarely. 

Serious Side Effects 

Tremors, nervousness, difficulty or pain during urination, weakness, muscle cramps, increased thirst, and urination are some of the severe side effects. Other serious side effects include fast or irregular heartbeat, chest pain, fainting, severe dizziness, eye swelling, pain, redness, vision changes characterized as seeing rainbows around light sources at night, or blurred vision. If you experience any of those, contact your doctor immediately as they should be treated with utmost urgency.

Rash, swelling, itching on the face, tongue, throat, hard time breathing, and severe breathing. This is not the complete list of allergic reactions. Make sure to inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of this. 


Before using Anoro Ellipta, tell your doctor if you have any allergies. This medication can contain inactive ingredients, including milk proteins, that can cause problems due to an allergic reaction.

Older people may be more sensitive to the side effects of Anoro Ellipta, especially QT prolongation.
