Bepreve (bepotastine besilate)


  • Bepreve ophthalmic solution is used for the treatment of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
  • It helps to relieve eye itching, and discomfort caused by allergens such as pollen, dust, and pet dander.

Dosage and Administration

  • Wash your hands before using Bepreve eye drops.
  • Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
  • Instill one drop of Bepreve into the affected eye(s) twice daily, or as directed by your doctor.
  • Blink gently to spread the medication evenly across the eye surface.
  • Wait at least 10 minutes before using other eye medications.
  • Do not touch the tip of the Bepreve dropper to any surface, including your eye, to avoid contamination

Mechanism of Action

Bepreve ophthalmic solution contains bepotastine besilate, which is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms such as itching and inflammation.
