Estring or Estring ring is a flexible ring containing the active ingredient estradiol (an estrogen hormone) that needs to be inserted directly into the vagina to relieve moderate to severe vaginal and urinary symptoms due to menopause such as vaginal dryness, burning, itching, pain upon urination and urinary urgency and frequency.
What Are Estring Side Effects?

They go away or become manageable once your body has adjusted to the medicine. Contact your doctor once they persist and become bothersome or worsen.
The following are the common and less serious side effects of Estring:
–Headache
–Nausea and vomiting
–Abdominal cramps and bloating
–Breast pain or tenderness
–Vaginal spotting or bleeding
–Increased vaginal discharge
–Fluid retention
Contact your health care provider immediately if you experience any of the following serious adverse reactions:
–Symptoms of allergic reactions such as hives or itching, rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing.
–Breast lumps or discharge and other breast tissue changes

–Constipation, abdominal pain, and swelling, inability to pass gas or have a bowel movement are signs and symptoms of bowel obstruction/blockage.
–Signs and symptoms of vaginal erosion (wearing away) and ulceration (holes) such as vaginal redness, swelling, scrapes, vaginal pain or soreness, and vaginal bleeding.
